Welcome to GROW

It’s a little after 9:30 PM. My boys are finally asleep. The house is quiet — for now. I’m sitting here reflecting on everything I’ve been carrying, and everything I’ve been building, including this nonprofit.

GROW — Growing Right Over Wealth — was officially created in 2021. Our mission is to give children the resources and opportunities to be wealthy physically, mentally, and emotionally. This isn’t just a nonprofit on paper. It’s rooted in my life.

I’m a Navy veteran. I work full-time. I run a notary business. I’m raising two incredible boys. My oldest is 11 and plays basketball, baseball, and chess. My youngest is 9, on the autism spectrum with anxiety and ADHD. At one point, he was in 40 hours of therapy a week. Today, he’s in speech therapy, social skills sessions, and IEP meetings. I am his mother, his advocate, and his constant.

So when people ask, “Why doesn’t GROW have a full website yet? ”Here’s my answer:

Because I’ve been living the mission first. I’ve been showing up for my children, our community, and building this vision from the inside out. The work came before the branding. The purpose came before the polish.

And honestly? I’m doing pretty good compared to most.

Here are the facts:

• Over 38% of all nonprofits in the U.S. don’t have a website at all

• More than 50% of small nonprofits operate without an updated or functional online presence

• Many rely solely on social media or word-of-mouth

So considering everything I juggle I’m proud of what’s been built. And I’m just getting started. It gives me time to GROW. We’re not here to go viral. We’re here to go deep. To support mothers. To nurture children. To center community. To grow slowly, steadily, and right over everything the world said we had to survive through. So do not expect a fancy website expect real work.

This is a space for women like me. Women who are doing everything they can with everything they have. Women who believe their children deserve more and who aren’t waiting for permission to give it to them.
