MAMAS ORGANIZING VOTER ECONOMICS

 

M.O.V.E. embraces Equitable Civic Engagement by bringing voting access

directly to mothers in their communities. We’ve hosted “Poll Pop-Ups” at

daycares, therapy centers, and the Board of Elections, creating welcoming,

sensory-friendly spaces with bilingual voter guides and absentee ballot

support. While we don’t offer formal childcare we have 'Poll Aunties", we

help mamas by providing engaging activities—like coloring books and

sensory toys for their children while they vote. Our approach is fully

grassroots: we go out into neighborhoods, meet mothers face-to-face, and

offer nonpartisan voter education in trusted spaces where they already

receive care and support.

MOVE is a nonpartisan coalition of moms building voting power, economic security, and disability justice for families the system forgets—especially those raising children with special needs.
